The Players...

Chris Pfeiffer – Guitar / Vocals

I have had the distinct pleasure of experiencing the music of Chris Pfeiffer both as an audience member and as someone who booked him into one of the most legendary listening rooms - The Cactus Cafe. Every time I am transported. His music takes the audience on a heartfelt journey into that magic landscape where melody and lyric meet in perfect harmony. A pure delight.
-- Robert Josef Cross – KUT-fm / The Cactus Café / Austin, TX

By the age of 9, with $15.00 made from a part as an extra in the Steve McQueen, Ali McGraw movie, “The Getaway”, Chris went immediately to the local music store, “Western Auto” for his first guitar. That guitar, with pen and paper started what has been the vehicle that has taken him and many, on a road trip far from home… and yet always home.

Compared to James Taylor and Dan Fogelberg, Chris is a songwriter by choice in heart. His first professional cut, “That’s What Next Time is For” was with the original Texas Playboys which lead to songs of multiple genre’s written and co-written at and for Sony Tree Publishing-Nashville, Starstruck Publishing/Entertainment-Nashville, Tom Collins Music-Nashville, Glad Music-Houston and Bill Butler Music-Nashville/Hondo, TX.

Most recently, Chris was named finalist and winner of 2011 ASG Bluebird Café Nashville Competition and 2012 ASG Song of the Year, Country and Inspirational categories… Chris’ writing, co-writing and concerts have been in a multitude of venues though out North America and can be found in writer’s circles, a concert stage, or leading worship in a moment of praise and thanksgiving on a Sunday morning.

Chris lives in southwest Texas with his wife Liza and daughters Casey, Kallie and Emily, as well as Oliver, Bella and Izzy the cat.
