Jacob Jaeger will play a fine acoustic concert on Wednesday, August 29th, at 7:00 PM.
My name's Jacob Alan Jaeger (pronounced Jay-gurrr) and I'm from Angleton, Texas. I've been writing, composing and singing tunes for the past six or seven years...
"Writing for heaven,
Writing for hell,
Writing to let that ol' devil know
my soul's not for sell"
I wrote that.
I have had the privilege to learn from and play with, on and off stage, some of this town's most talented musicians...
"And I followed that man
To where I didn't know
And for what, I couldn't see
But I just had to go"
Wrote that too.
I'm out on my own for the first time in my young career, excited and frightened in the most wonderful way. This show will be the first of it's kind for me and I look very-much forward to the opportunity to perform...
"Thy very songs not in thy songs,
No special strains to sing,
None for itself,
But from the whole resulting,
Rising at last and floating
And round full-orb'd eidólon."
Walt Whitman wrote that.
Doors open at 7:00 and the concert is 8:00 to 10:00.
