Darlings of Austin's vibrant acoustic music scene, Anna and Pat perform regularly in the live music capital's most renowned listening rooms. They have wowed audiences at festivals, theaters and house concerts all over the US.
Anna Mae Mitchell and G. Pat Harris bring a unique excitement to the world of roots music. Their fine musicianship, captivating songs, charming stage presence, and love of performing create an intimate and lasting connection with every audience. Their music maintains ties to traditional Americana while creating freshness through musical curiosity and exploration with the inclusion of jazz, classical, and world music influences. The pair have been getting positive attention from music lovers and critics through playing some of the best rooms in central Texas and throughout the country.
Having performed together on and off since 2004, Mitchell and Harris
teamed up to release their debut album, Traveling By Moonlight in
November 2011. Recorded in Austin, Traveling By Moonlight contains
twelve original songs steeped in Americana and features some of
Austin’s finest musicians who help bring the music to life. With a
refreshingly live and spontaneous feeling throughout, these hook
heavy songs capture the sense of the players delighting in each
other’s musical company and convey a sense of optimism even on the
album’s most somber songs. With a tireless work ethic and touring
schedule, 2012 will find Mitchell and Harris performing shows in
house concerts, theaters, and festivals throughout the United States.
