The Sarah Pierce Quartet
07/10/2016, 12/14/2012, 05/13/2012, 07/17/2011
Sarah Pierce and her fine quartet will play an acoustic concert on Sunday, July 10th, doors-open at 2:00 PM.
Sarah Pierce -Leader, Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Songwriter...
The daughter of a cowboy, raised in a family of cattlemen (4 generations of Pierce's can be found in The American Angus Heritage Foundation), Sarah's dream was to be a singer, a dream that began to take shape when she was 12 years old. Her stepfather was a small town doctor by day and played bass in the local country band on the weekends. One day he asked her to come along and sing a few songs.
What ultimately followed was a long, wondrous, and sometimes hard road for a girl raised on cattle ranches in Texas, Florida, and Colorado. Thankfully, since moving back to Texas, this cowboy's daughter discovered that her musical soul ultimately was the
music with which she had been raised. Now, after 7 critically acclaimed albums, and tons of domestic and European touring, the music has become her own.
Merel Bregante -Drums, Percussion, and Vocals...
Written by Sarah: Merel began his career with the LA-based seminal folk rock band, the Sunshine Company. Since then he has recorded, produced and toured with, among others, Loggins and Messina, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris Hillman, Steve Martin, Pure Prairie League, and Gary Morris. I really don't know what else to say. He has been my partner in my music and my life for the past twenty-two years. Life is so very good!!!
Michael Dorien - Acoustic and Electric Lead and Slide Guitar, andVocals...
Mike's career as a professional guitarist has spanned 35 years to date...he just loves all things guitar. A graduate from Guitar Institute of Technology where Mike broadened his stylistic sensibilities and the
belief that 'less is more!' Accomplished technically, he plays with real passion and brings a number of musical styles to the table as well as great energy to the stage. I am so thankful that he has become a vital part of The Sarah Pierce Band. When you see us play, I think you'll agree.
Roberto Ramos - Acoustic and Electric Bass, and Vocals...
Don Raby - Violin, and Mandolin...
Doors open at 2:00 PM and the concert is 3:00 to 5:00.
